About The Artist
Julie Feldman, now based in Jacksonville, Florida, has immersed herself in several areas of work throughout her career: weaving, hand painted decorative textiles, dried botanicals, and a recent return to full time figurative painting.
During her many years in Los Angeles, she created large scale wall hangings and extravagant botanical arrangements for commercial and residential interiors.
She also designed a line of textiles for hand painted decorative and functional art.
Her current work is usually inspired by personally meaningful photographs, often sanded and blurred in between layers of paint, to the verge of fading away, but strengthening the presence and spirit of the image.
Julie is a member of Women Painters West, The Los Angeles Art Association, Collage Artists of America, , The O’Hanlon Center for the Arts , and the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. Now in Florida, she will be focusing her energy on becoming a part of its vital art community.
